A couple of weekends ago, I was busy in our play yard putting together a project I've had in mind for some time. The weather has been warming up, the buds are blossoming, and the wild forget-me-nots and dandelions bring delight to the children running in the field. It is the perfect time of year for an outdoor loom where the children can display their treasured finds from nature:

Built with branches and twine between two trees... |

Working together... |

Only the beginning... |
I look forward to watching the children work together on our outdoor loom!
That is truly inspired! Can't wait to make one with my daughter. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Enjoy!
DeleteI can't wait to see how this progresses. I have a classroom loom that I moved outside during the nicer months, but it's hot here in AZ and it's back inside. I've never been able to get the kiddos interested in it, especially since we don't have lovely natural items just hanging around for weaving.
ReplyDeleteIt has been fun watching the kids add bits and pieces each day. I love how it can change and evolve over time... Thanks for reading!
DeleteThat's amazing! Your blog is great
ReplyDeleteThanks, so glad you like the loom and the blog! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is precious! Sadly I am in the same boat as Lindsey...here in AZ, we just don't have the bits and pieces of nature to weave into a loom like this. Sad times but I just love the idea so much just the same.
