Mathematics: Place Value

Thanks to some felt and my trusted hot-glue gun, there has been a new lesson on the math shelf providing practice with quantities and place value.  Actually, it has been available in the classroom for quite some time, but I haven't had the chance to share it until now.  The idea for the lesson came from THIS site, along with the labels for each category.

A set of cards for practice retrieving quantities.
The children place the corresponding beads on the mat,
and check their work by checking the back of the card.

The rest of the mat.

The mat rolls up for easy storage.
The cards can also be used in reverse to practice quantity and number symbol.
